LCD as a solution for compact control rooms

The explosion of IP-enabled cameras and data sensors means that traffic management professionals are forced to deal with ever-increasing volumes of data, and so the need for visualisation is greater than it has ever been. But budgets haven’t increased at the same pace, so inevitably that means doing more for less money. That’s where LCD videowall solutions from Mitsubishi Electric can make a dramatic difference.

At Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016., Mitsubishi Electric is showcasing its latest LCD videowall display, the ultra narrow bezel LM55P2. The 55” LCD monitor squeezes an incredible amount of features into an extremely compact unit, enabling sophisticated multi-source videowalls to be installed pretty much anywhere where there is a wall. The front-to-back depth is just 129mm, meaning that existing small rooms can be easily re-purposed as monitoring or crisis suites. With a screen to screen bezel of just 3.5mm, the LM55P2 creates an almost seamless display; with four units you have a full 4K display with just a single bezel running top to bottom and side to side.

To see the LM55P2 in action with Mitsubishi’s powerful D-Wall 6 control software, visit the Dynniq booth at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016, 10.101, 10.203, from April 5th to 8th.
